The Ping g20 Driver's 460cc clubhead is made from Ti 8-1-1, a lighter, lower-density alloy which has a high strength-to-weight ratio allowing for additional weight to be strategically placed for increased MOI on both vertical and horizontal axes. The new Ping K15 Drivers are designed to help you drive the ball straighter and longer. Assisted by a PING innovation called Straight Flight Technology (SF Tec). This visible technology places approximately 10% of head mass in the heel, which helps square the face for consistently straight tee shots.

You’ll also see big distance gains with the K15. Combining a large-profile 460cc head and a club face that is longer heel to toe, the MOI is sizeable for consistent performance across the hitting surface. This design positions the center of gravity low and back to generate high launch and low spin.

The traditional pear-shaped 460cc titanium head is engineered with a bulge crown design and deeper face to optimize energy transfer for greater ball speed and the solid feel preferred by better golfers.

The G15 driver is engineered for golfers seeking a maximum forgiveness driver that delivers distance and accuracy. Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING’s patented ultra thin crown technology. Weight savings from the thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity for higher trajectories and reduced spin.

A larger face is designed to increase ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. The new PING-designed TFC 149D high balance point shaft allows for a five gram increase in head mass (without increasing swingweight or overall weight) which results in higher ball speeds and an increased moment of inertia.

Utilizing finite element analysis and the latest in design software, PING engineers develop metal woods in a virtual world to ensure the highest level of performance before the clubs even reach the first tee. Factors such as moment of inertia (MOI), center of gravity (CG) location, crown structure and face thickness are carefully studied with the goal of designing longer, straighter and more consistent metal woods. Even the club's acoustics are analyzed to ensure a powerful sound and feel.

The mass properties of tungsten and titanium are optimized in the Rapture® V2™ Driver to create a high launching, lower spinning driver that delivers the performance expected from a multi-metal design. The visible, dense tungsten weight pads in the back of the lightweight titanium head expand the perimeter weighting and position the center-of-gravity low and away from the face.

The 460cc head is slightly elongated by extending the face height and aggressively sloping the crown. The thin face is precisely machined and plasma-welded to deliver higher ball speeds for greater distance.
