Mizuno MP-59 Forged Irons - Steel Shafts
The MP-59's from Mizuno feature a forged Ti Muscle which maintains thickness behind impact, this gives you blade like workability combined with a forgiveness normally found only in a cavity back design.
The consistant face thickness is provided by a lightweight Titanium (Ti) insert, which is forged directly inside the clubhead for a one piece feel.
With weight saved from the middle portion of the clubhead due to the use of lightweight Titanium, the MP-59 takes the characteristics of a full cavity design, with stability from off centre strikes.
The thicker material behind impact ensures that centre strikes are rewarded with a solid impact. The MP-59's centre of gravity also remains close to the clubface - allowing ball strikers to produce controlled draws and fades.
The MP-59 takes the multi material concept further than its award wining predecessor (MP-58). With its Ti weight more central to the clubhead the MP-59 creates even greater stability from off centre strikes. This increased stability allows for less offset to be used, improving the irons look at address.
A thinner top line and weightier sole is finished with a new sole grind developed with Mizuno’s Tour players through 2011.

Grain Flow Forged, with the heads forged from a single 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel billet for pure feel. A Tour Grind Sole is a new tour adaptation for greater versatility. Modified U-grooves gives ideal spin rates within 2010 Condition of Competition rule. Double Nickel Mirror Chrome plated, is a durable finish with soft underlay.
